Christianity and Video Games

May 4, 2005

Here’s an interesting article from the New York Times about Christianity and video games— is it possible to mix religion with interactive entertainment, and do it well? Can an industry that has often been called “demonic” be redeemed? There are those who think that it can, and a number of Christian development studios have been started over the last few years.

Since this story was also featured on CNet, no subscription is required; read it here. And if you have (or develop) a deeper interest in where religion should stand in relation to culture (popular or otherwise) Niebuhr’s Christ and Culture is an excellent read and a great place to start.
