Gaming: New Info on Katamari Sequel

Katamari Damacy is one of my very favorite games on the PS2 platform, so I was extremely excited to hear about a sequel coming this year to the PS2 (9/20) and the Nintendo DS (date TBA). 1Up.com has a four page feature article on the sequel with exclusive video, screenshots, and information about new features like a cooperative mode and enhancd multiplayer. And if you haven’t played the first game, I highly suggest that you do so. This quote from the 1Up feature says it better that I ever could: “in terms of sheer grassroots enthusiasm and gamer affection, Namco’s ball-rolling extravaganza was quite possibly last year’s single greatest success story.” If you’re looking for an addictive game with simple controls, non-violent action, and a hip soundtrack, you can’t do much better than Katamari Damacy.
