Big News From SnapperMail
June 13, 2003
Some exciting new things are happening with SnapperMail, my favorite Palm OS email application. Here’s the scoop, with more details available at the SnapperMail web site.
A new partnership with Certicom means that there will now be a “premier” version of SnapperMail that will support SSL. That’s great news for business and other users who need secure access to their email.
Version 1.7 of SnapperMail is coming later this month with some new features that I’m very excited about, including:
support for HTML mail (no more gibberish!)
support for digest mode messages (for lists that send out MIME digests)
and support for hyperlinked URLS— so you can just tap on a link in an email and be taken to that page with your web browser.
Of course hearing about these new enhancements make me wonder what is in store for the future with SnapperMail. It’s one of those “must have” applications if you have a Palm OS phone—I know I certainly can’t live without it, and wouldn’t want to try!
