Astraware Does it Again!
January 10, 2003
I’m beginning to wonder why I even make New Year’s Resolutions. It’s only the 10th, and they’ve ALL already gone by the wayside. I was going to loose weight and make better food choices, and the New Year’s Eve party I went to took care of that one before the 2003 even started! And then there was the resolution to get more things done in the coming year and procrastinate less. But then Astraware has to go and release more new games. What’s a PocketGoddess to do?
Well, play games! I’ve long been a fan of Bejewled, that highly addictive puzzle game I can’t seem to put down. It’s a wonder I get anything at all done, and it’s still my favorite Palm OS game of all time. But now I have several more new Astraware games to choose from, and Bejewled may not stay in that top spot forever. I’ve been playing several newer games recently, such as BookWorm, a word game just as full of action as any arcade shooter, though all you have to do is make words out of the constantly falling letter tiles. Sounds simple, but it can be nerve-wracking!
And then there’s Ricochet, a Breakout-style clone with some great graphics and sound. But the one that’s competing for the top spot right now is Dynomite, a Bust-A-Move style puzzler with great arcade action too. You can choose either Endless (arcade) mode or Stomped (puzzle) mode. I’ve been playing A LOT of endless mode over the past couple of days. It’s challenging, fun, and very fast moving. I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun with a Palm OS game, other than Bejeweled, of course.
If you’re anything like me, your New Year’s resolutions may also be in serious jepoardy, or perhaps you’ve already broken them and will try again next year. After all, what fun is I Palm OS handheld if you can’t use it for both fun and productivity? If that’s the case, then head directly on over to Astraware and check out their amazing selection of addictive, high-quality games. Don’t despair if you’re a Pocket PC user either— they have some nice games for that platform as well.
