Sena Cases for the Clie NR70

Innopocket Metal Deluxe Case and Stylus Two-Pack for the Clie NR70

Every time I get a new device, just after I plug it in for that interminable first charge of the battery, I start looking for good accessories to go with it. Tops on the list, after I buy a Brando screen protector, is a nice case, and usually a stylus. That was certainly true for my Sonly Clie NR70, especially the need for a replacement stylus. The stock stylus is just too light, and the tip seems rather too scratchy for my taste. Thank goodness for the good folk at Innopocket— they had everything I need.

Pocketop Wireless Keyboard

While each new handheld I get receives fills me with “gadget passion” they also do a very good job of emptying my pocketbook. It isn’t just the devices themselves, but the accessories that go with them: cases, travel chargers, and of course keyboards. I’m pretty good with Graffiti, but as someone who is required to take meeting notes for hours at a time, a keyboard is an absolute must. But each handheld device, be it a Palm OS handheld or a Pocket PC, has an entirely new connector. What’s a goddess to do?

Brando Cases for the Sony Clie NR70

If you’ve been a handheld use for any length of time, then you know that when a particular model is first introduced it can be pretty hard to find accessories to go with it. The Sony Clie NR70 is certainly no exception to that rule— its unique folding feature means making a case for it is pretty difficult. Fortunately there are two options available from Brando that allow you to use your NR70 in the open or tablet mode when you like, but still provide a good amount of protection when you’re not using the device.

Brando CLIE T-series HotSync + Charger Cable

One of the most essential accessories you can get for your handheld device, aside from a case, is a travel charger. Case Techworks Treo Case

Summer is here, and with it an awful lot of new technology. One of the hottest devices to hit the market recently is the Treo 180 from HandSpring. It’s a great idea— part cell phone, part handheld, in one small package. There’s just one small problem. How are you going to carry it? Since it combines so many functions into one small package, it’s important to keep it accessible at all times. And since it hasn’t been available for all that long, there aren’t many cases either. That’s where Case Techworks comes to the rescue, with the Convertible Case for the HandSpring Treo.

Otter Armor

Are you the type that’s really hard on your handheld device? Do you tend to drop it often? Do you have a job that frequently takes you to harsh environments, such as construction, manufacturing, and the like? Sounds like your handheld needs some serious protection, and Otter Armor just might fit the bill.

Instant Power Charger for m5xx Series Palms

Rechargeable batteries are great, except when you’re stuck in the middle of nowhere and you run out of juice. In the old days, you could just stick in a couple more AAA batteries, but now that most handhelds are using Lithium-Ion rechargeables, that strategy doesn’t work anymore. Thank goodness, Instant Power has come to the rescue to keep us all charged and running wherever we might find ourselves.

Scribble Aluminum Case for the Palm m505

As I mentioned yesterday, it’s a good idea to protect your handheld investment. This is especially true with the m505, as the leather flap cover that comes with the device just doesn’t offer the same rudimentary protection that the hard plastic flip cover that came with earlier Palm models. But you also don’t want to be forced to put that svelte beauty in a huge protective case either. That’s where the new breed of metal hard cases comes into play. Until now, they were terribly expensive, but the new kid on the block from ScribblePDA is about to change all of that.

PocketJoey Pouch for the iPAQ Pocket PC

The PocketJoey Pouch is a unique new case for the compaq iPAQ that I fell in love with almost instantly. It is made from top-grain leather, as many handheld cases are these days. But what sets it apart is its highly innovative design— it can be worn around the neck or on a belt with the included clip, and it can accomodate anything from a “naked” iPAQ all the way up to a dual slot PCMCIA expansion jacket. In fact, it’s nothing short of amazing.

Landware HotLink Cable

If you have a Palm OS device, chances are you understand what the term “mobile lifestyle” is all about. At times though, you may not feel all that mobile at all. If you’re on the road a lot for business, or if you do a lot of traveling, chances are you’re very familiar with lugging around the various AC adapters, travel kits, and cradles for your various devices. Not only for your Palm, but also for your mobile phone, laptop, and any other portable devices that you carry on a regular basis.

SmarterCase

If you’re anything like me, you sometimes worry about the safety of your handheld investment. If you’re not, you may have started worrying after something happened to your first handheld, such as a fall to concrete that cracked the screen, putting it in your back pocket and forgetting to take it out before you sat down, knocking it off your desk and damaging the device, etc. Try as we might to be careful, accidents do happen. For that reason it’s a good idea to protect it with a carrying case at all times. While a case won’t save you if you drop your Palm out of a ten-story window, it will protect you from some accidental damage to a device that most likely represents a substantial amount of time and financial investment.

Non-Expansion Plug for the iPAQ Pocket PC

I am constantly amazed by the ingenuity of hardware and software developers, but I think that this one takes the cake. Clint Chappell has come up with a must-have accessory for the iPAQ, especially if you’re someone who doesn’t use expansion sleeves. He calls it the “Non-Expansion Plug” for good reason—if you aren’t using an expansion sleeve with your iPAQ and simply want the lightest, slimmest device possible, you need this accessory.
