Waterfield PSP Gear Pouches

mini PSP Gear Pouch
This little guy is perfectly sized for a short excursion, with room to carry your PSP, ear buds, and a few games. This case won’t work if you have an accessory face cover attached to your PSP using the two screw holes on the top of the PSP, because the case is just too short to accomodate them easily. It is possible to zip the case shut if you have something like the Pelican Face Armor attached, but it’s a real challenge and not something I would recommend. If your PSP is “naked” though, this would be the perfect case to throw into your bag.

The mini PSP Gear Pouch is made of the same black ballsitic nylon fabric as the rest of WaterField’s line, with side and bottom accents in your choice of Blue, Celeste, Checker, Lead, or Taxi. It measures 8 inches wide, 3.5 inches tall, and 1.5 inches deep. The interior is lined in gold fabric, and there’s a special pocket just for your PSP made of a nice and soft fabric that provides padding to protect your device. On the other side, two small black mesh pockets are sewn into the lining of the case for your Memory Sticks and UMD movies/games.
The mini PSP Gear Pouch is $29 at the WaterField web site.

PSP Gear Pouch

This one is definitely the champ when it comes to packing in everything you might want to take with you when you carry your PSP. The bag in the picture might look a little overstuffed, but everything fits perfectly. I was able to cram in:
- Sony PSP, with Face Armor cover attached
- AC adapter and cable
- Sony ear buds with remote
- Eight UMDs, all in cases
And there’s still room for some more stuff on top of the main compartment and in the small compartment on the front of the bag, which is loaded with pockets. It has two large black mesh pockets sewn into the lining, as well as four Memory Stick Duo pockets, in case you have several spares.
Like WaterField’s iPod Gear Pouch, you can also use this case as an accessory bag for a variety of small electronics. I found that it holds my Sony PSP, T1 digital camera, wireless keyboard, and Tapwave Zodiac with room to spare. It also fits perfectly in the VertiGo tote bag that I’ll be reviewing later on this week.
As a PSP case, it is a little larger than it has to be, but I think that’s a good thing. If you want the bare minimum, you’d probably choose the mini PSP Gear Pouch anyway. If you want to take everything with you in style and plenty of protection, you can’t go wrong with the WaterField PSP Gear Pouch. You can get one for yourself in black with your choice of accent colors for $39 at the WaterField web site.

This is great. I could definitely keep everything inside this pouch. I can't wait to buy one.
