PDA Panache Nintendo DS Stylus
May 10, 2005
PDA Panache makes some really nice styli, so I was very glad to see that they recently introduced a replacement stylus for the Nintendo DS. The stylus that comes with the DS is plastic, and it’s very thin and light. It really isn’t much fun to play with, which is why I found myself reaching for a full-size stylus when I wanted to play games. Thankfully PDA Panche has created a replacement stylus for the Nintendo DS that excels in every aspect.

This stylus is made of metal, so it has a really nice weight in your hand. The stylus tip is bright pink, which is handy because it contrasts with the colors of whatever game you’re playing so you can see it easily. Close to the end, next to the tip, you’ll see a series of ridges that are designed to make the stylus easier to grip and prevent it from sliding out of your fingers, unlike the rather slippery stock stylus. And since it is exactly the same length and diameter of the stock stylus that comes with the unit, it fits perfectly in the stylus on your DS. The slightly raised top edge has ridges that are easy for your finger to push against in order to remove the stylus from the slot.
PDA Panache makes styli for just about every handheld device out there, so even if you don’t have a Nintendo DS you still have a chance to experience their high quality and attention to detail yourself. Some stylus models include an ink pen, which can be very handy. You can head over to their site at http://www.pdapanache.com/; prices start at $14.95
As for me, I’m tossing that silly little stylus that came with my Nintendo DS in the trash and giving the PDA Panache stylus a permanent home in the stylus slot— it’s much nicer to use.

The metal stylus seems to be much better in every aspect. I believe it will increase gameplay. The design is sleek, convenient, portable, and of course, aimed at people like me who like to act casual with it, but intentionally flaunt it in front of there faces " by accident ". Then when they ask where I got it, I can say I ordered it for $15.00, and they'll be amazed, and then i'll go on bragging about how it's made of pure metal, or some dumb thing like that. But that is one part that is good to brag about, but hard on you. The price. I want to get it, but THAT price for ONE stylus. It's kind of...yeah. So anyway. It's probabally worth the painful wallet emptiness. So I'll probabally still spring for it anyway.
