Now before you get too excited, I should warn you that only The Eye of the World, the first volume of the Wheel of Time series is available at this point. That’s still great news for this die-hard fan–I have literally worn out the printed editions of more than one book in this series over the years.
I stumbled across the listing while I was browsing the eBook section at the Barnes & Noble web site, and I couldn’t believe that it had been out for almost a month before I saw it. Long-time electronic readers may remember that the prologues to several of the later books in the series were available for purchase in electronic format, but never entire books.
Oddly enough it will cost you $9.99 at Barnes & Noble and only $6.99 at Amazon, but that choice of course depends more on whether you’re waiting for a nook (like me) or already have a Kindle. The second book in the series, The Great Hunt, is currently available for preorder and should be available on November 17th.
