The battery life, which is less than 4 hours (more like 3), is a killer, since the battery is sealed. The 3G is only twice as fast as Edge (for battery reasons, BTW, as ATT HSDPA can go much faster, but must be restricted to preserve battery life): Verizon has had better speeds for years (I use a MotoQ, which has its own serious drawbacks). Safari is no better than the Skyfire beta I now use. As for reading, which so many are now proclaiming to be superb on an iphone, it's still a backlit screen and I much prefer my Kindle.
