Japanese Firm Access to Acquire PalmSource

Well folks, I have to admit that I certainly didn’t see this one coming! You can get all the financial details and such at this link on the CNN Money site, but in a nutshell, Access is purchasing PalmSource in order to get a better handle on the phone software market. If all goes according to plan, PalmSource will become a wholly owned subsidiary by the end of the year.
