Proporta Leather Case for the Nintendo DS

This case is similar to other Proporta leather case models in several ways. It’s made of quality black leather with a padded top flap strengthened by aluminum. The stitching is write, and it closes with a tab and magnetic snap located on the back of the case. Open up the case and you’ll find a soft black sueded interior with two game storage slots on the cover. The Nintendo DS is held by two clever little “retaining clips” (one on each side of the case) that hold the bottom portion of the Nintendo DS. I was surprised to find that they really have a grip. They hold the DS very securely, no worried about it coming out until you intentionally remove it from the clips.

I also like the fact that there are two game storage slots under the lid of this case, though if they had gone the other way I think that four games would have fit, instead of just two. Unlike the Sony PSP, the Nintendo DS folding design means that I really don’t have to worry about the screen getting scratched. Of course that does bring up an obvious point– you may not want to put your DS in a case at all due to that design. This leather case adds a bit of protection and style, and makes it handy to carry a couple of extra games. You can get it for $24.95 at the Proporta web site.
