HoliDates requires 101K of RAM on your Palm OS device. Once installed, you are given the option to choose US holidays, Canadian, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, or Muslim holidays, or any combination of the above. Then tap “View” at the bottom of the screen to be taken to a list of all of the holidays you choose. The list is very comprehensive indeed- Christian holidays for example include the various Sundays in Lent and Advent. HoliDates also includes a very nice touch for the Jewish holidays– since they traditionally begin at sundown, there is often a reminder the day before that a certain holiday is starting, as opposed to simply listing the holiday itself. In every case, you have the choice to simply view the list in Holidates, selectively install the ones you want in your calendar, or tap on a button at the top of the screen to select all of them. Once certain ones are installed, a small “i” icon appears next to the names of the holidays you added to your calendar. Nothing could be simpler!
HoliDates is available for $9.95 at the developer’s web site. Even better, 10% of the developer’s profits go to children’s charities.
