Case Techworks Treo Case

Treo Case from Case Techworks
The nice thing about this case is that you can use it two different ways, either as a “flip” case or as a “holster” case. First you slide the main part of the Treo into the back of the case, and then you either use the front part of the case that encloses the flip lid of the Treo and snap it onto the back or use the included antenna strap that goes around the antenna and securely snaps to the back of the holster, ensuring that your Treo will not slip out of the holster. So you get to decide what level of protection you want to have for your Treo, either full coverage or the lightest, most convenient package possible.

Depending on exactly how you use and carry your device, you’ll find that the case provides ample protection even though the sides have been left open. That is necessary due to the way the Treo works. Even if you drop your Treo though, it is unlikely that it will be damaged while in this case– the screen and bottom corners are fairly well protected. This case is also available with ($29.95) or without ($24.95) a belt clip, so that you can either slip it into your purse or bag, or else wear it on your belt, as many people wear their cell phones these days.

As with all of Case Techworks designs, the Convertible Treo case is made of quality materials and workmanship. The leather and the seams are smooth, and the case fits the unit perfectly. The attention to detail is also exquisite– all of the buttons and controls are perfectly accessible, and you can also HotSync/charge your device while it is in the case if you use the cable that was included with your Treo. I’m not quite so sure that it will work if you use the optional cradle instead.

All in all, I am quite pleased with this case, as I have been with all of Case Techworks’ products. It seems that they have found the “magic middle” between using quality materials and reasonable prices– typically their cases sell for $20 to 40. They also have some great new designs for the Sony Clie and the i705 with the optional keyboard. Check it all out at their web site.

PocketGoddess rating for the Case Techworks Convertible Treo Case: 5 out of 5
